Hazchem Safety Ltd is certified to numerous qualifications to
ensure we provide the best service and assurance to our clients.

ISO 9001 Quality Assurance
ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality
management system (QMS). Organizations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to
consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. It
is the most popular standard in the ISO 9000 series and the only standard in the series to which
organizations can certify.
ISO 9001 was first published in 1987 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO),
an international agency composed of the national standards bodies of more than 160 countries.
The current version of ISO 9001 was released in September 2015.

MODULE D CERTIFIED MANUFACTURER
Hazchem are a Module D Certified Manufacturer of Category III Protective Clothing allowing us
to manufacture CE Certified PPE for High-Risk work environments. Within our product range,
this applies to the HAZTEC Workwear garments that are certified to EN Standards including
Arc Flash IEC 61482 and Chemical Protection EN 13034. This certification involved the auditing
of our manufacturing locations by a Third Party to ensure continual compliance and 100%
inspection of the garments we produce.
ISO 14000 Environmental Management
ISO 14001 is a family of standards related to environmental management that exists to
help organizations (a) minimize how their operations (processes, etc.) negatively affect the
environment (i.e. cause adverse changes to air, water, or land); (b) comply with applicable laws,
regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements; and (c) continually improve in
the above.
ISO 14000 is similar to ISO 9000 quality management in that both pertain to the process of
how a product is produced, rather than to the product itself. As with ISO 9001, certification is
performed by third-party organizations rather than being awarded by ISO directly. The ISO
19011 and ISO 17021 audit standards apply when audits are being performed.
The requirements of ISO 14001 are an integral part of the European Union’s Eco-Management
and Audit Scheme (EMAS). EMAS’s structure and material are more demanding, mainly
concerning performance improvement, legal compliance, and reporting duties. The current
version of ISO 14001 is ISO 14001:2015, which was published in September 2015.
OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health & Safety
Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series, (officially BS OHSAS 18001) is a British
Standard for occupational health and safety management systems. Compliance with it enables
organizations to demonstrate that they have a system in place for occupational health and
safety. BS OHSAS 18001 is being replaced by ISO 45001, which was published in March 2018
by the International Organization for Standardization. Organizations which are certified to BS
OHSAS 18001 should migrate to ISO 45001 by March 2021 if they want to retain a recognized
certification.
