CASE STUDY
bringing joy to a team of thousands
Cambridge University Press and Assessment
Our returning client, Cambridge University Press are an excellent
example of staff gifting at scale. Having recently doubled in size,
their diverse team now totals over 2,000, and with a consistent
dedication to their values, they need to ensure that staff gifts are
universally enjoyed, while offering:
Inclusivity by meeting various dietary requirements,
including vegan, gluten-free and alcohol-free hampers.
Sustainability to align with their environmental policies
for minimising environmental impact.
Value for money by meeting specific budgets per-gift.
The hampers.com solution
Each year, Cambridge University Press and Assessment prepare
for Christmas early, discussing their specific requirements with
our knowledgeable hampers.com Gifting Experts, who understand
their needs and challenges. This preparation means that we can
develop fully bespoke and tailored gifting solutions, fully mindful
of dietary requirements.
Sustainability is at the forefront of our values at hampers.com.
We’re certified carbon neutral, and we ensure transparency
of information on the recyclability of packaging. This gives
environmentally conscious clients like Cambridge University
Press and Assessment the ability to make informed decisions,
based on their sustainability agenda.
We have two efficient warehouses at our HQ in Oxfordshire,
prepared to handle gifting at scale, even at the busiest time of
the year. Cambridge University Press and Assessment’s growth
meant that confidence in this scalability was of paramount
importance in 2021, as their gifts were a chance to make a lasting
impact on both loyal and new members of their team.
The Results
The collaborative communication between hampers. com
corporate team and Cambridge University Press and Assessment
resulted in the curation of a bespoke, boxed gift hamper to be
sent to all of their staff members for Christmas 2021.
Rather than providing different hampers depending on dietary
intolerances and choices, it was decided that one, inclusive gift
was more representative of the company’s values. Due to our
partnerships and relationships with our makers and producers, we
were more than happy to do this; it was a privilege to introduce
high-quality and delicious vegan and gluten-free products to
Cambridge University Press and Assessment’s whole team.
Despite the widely reported courier and supply chain challenges
of 2021, all hampers were safely delivered, and our Customer
Care advisers ensured the Cambridge University Press and
Assessment team felt valued and cared for, following another
excellent Christmas gifting season for the company.
their words
was so much love for the contents of our hampers;
“ There
most people didn’t notice it was vegan and gluten-free
and those that are vegan or GF were thrilled that they
could eat so much of it.
A big thank you to working with us, and providing us
with this service and bespoke hamper. We also wanted
to give a special thank you to Steve [hampers.com
Customer Care Advisor] for his support. Steve went over
and beyond our expectations, and we couldn’t have done
it without him.

Packaging
We measure and offset our entire carbon footprint, comprising
of the carbon generated by getting our packaging and hamper
components to us, our warehouse and office facilities, and
delivery to our end consumers.
The packaging we use is intentionally reusable and recyclable.
Beautiful wicker baskets and chic gift boxes are ideal for use
around the home, and our delivery boxes are 100% recyclable.
Even our fridge-packs and bottle protectors are recyclable.
This means that each of our gifts is certified carbon neutral, and
meanwhile we support projects which not only help to combat
climate change, but support employment, health improvement,
biodiversity, reforestation and broad social benefits to
impoverished communities around the world.
Charity
We work with a local charity partner, to raise funds for essential
housing and equipment, while also providing employment
opportunities to those who are disadvantaged.
