The Bahamian potcake is a dog that can best be
described as being "mixed up like conch salad." They
have no particular breed or pedigree, but they are
often the most lovable pups you will ever meet.
The very first issue of the Grand Life Magazine
featured a story about a potcake pup named
Fortune, who found a forever home for herself and
her puppies with Don and Carmel - a loving Grand
Bahama couple. Since then, the magazine has
received lots of follow-up requests about how
Fortune and her babes are doing.
Carmel and Don decided to rehome several of the
then tiny puppies to loving families, but they just
could not bring themselves to part with most of the
litter. Soxx, Luna, and Princess still reside with the
couple along with their mom. According to Carmel,
