Animals
Keith Cooper is the owner and operator of West
End Ecology Tours, a nature and wildlife tour
company based on Grand Bahama. Keith's tours
focus on the unique ecosystems and wildlife of
the island, and he is passionate about
conservation and sustainability. He also works
closely with local organizations to protect and
preserve the natural environment of The
Bahamas.
Over the years, Keith has become well known for
his work with the local stingray population,
resulting in West End Ecology Tours’ "Stingray
Experience" becoming their most popular
activity.
Keith has studied the habits and movements of
the island's stingray population and has
developed a deep admiration for the often
misunderstood animals. He notes that it is
important to maintain the natural behaviors of
the stingrays as much as possible, and the
animals roam freely in the ocean, only returning
to the cay as the tide cycle rises.
