in the Summer 8 Nations tournament in
Barcelona, as did recent Year 13 leavers
Daisy F at U18 level and Georgie G at U21
level. Over the course of the year, Anna
continued her England success, being
selected for the England U18 squad in
November.
In December, Beth G followed suit, having
been selected to represent England in the
U16 squad for the second year in a row. In
March, Hollie D-R was also selected for
the GB U23s v Ireland match played at
Easter. Anna was also picked for England
U18s matches against the Dutch and French
over the Easter holidays, whilst Beth
played U16 matches v Scotland, Spain and
Holland. As a result of her attitude on and
o昀昀 the pitch during those matches, Anna
was awarded the Relentless Spirit award.
On the 昀椀eld she demonstrated constant
e昀昀ort and o昀昀 the pitch her commitment
to training, hydration, nutrition and video
work was deemed outstanding.
Across the domestic season it’s the girls
who have continued to shine, consistently
delivering remarkable performances and
unrivalled results.
In September, the U14s fought incredibly
hard to come second in the County Cup,
which saw the team qualify for the East
Championships. The team were praised
by coaches for playing the best style
of hockey on show and showed huge
improvements. Maya C, Mia N, Freya D and
Grace G were praised for the commitment
on the pitch. In November, the girls 昀椀nished
an impressive second at the East Finals,
narrowly missing out on the title.
