UPDATE
Dear FPA Members,
Almost six months ago I was proud to be nominated
as your executive chair. At that time, I made a promise
to clean house; invest in compliance, IT systems and
marketing; and add two new members to our board.
My objective being to strengthen the way we operate, plan for the future and,
more importantly, invest your money wisely to the benefit of all the FPA
membership.
My thanks to all the committee heads and committee members for pulling
together to drive these changes. Without their dedication and enthusiasm we
would not have come so far in delivering against these promises.
This first edition of the fresh-look FPA Connect magazine, is just a small example
of my ongoing commitment to you. My thanks go to David Lucas, the
association9s head of marketing, and his team, for their diligence and hard work
in getting this up and running, and to Lisa McGowan for creating this edition.
Within its pages you will also read more about the tremendous work conducted
by the newly formed Compliance and Regulatory Committee 3 another
important step towards protecting your interests.
It was a welcome relief to have Anna Tuner voted in as the FPA9s new vice chair
at the EGM last month, together with our two newest additions to the board
Charlie Dean from Catering 24 and Mike Bristow from Go-Pak. Anna and I, along
with our existing board members, Martin Kersh, Anne Sutton and Malcolm
Sargent, welcome them both. Together, the board promises to continue to work
hard to keep improving our association for you, our members.
I hope you enjoy reviewing all the news, and reading about the many new and
innovative products available from your fellow members. Don9t forget, if you
