Can you provide some broad examples of breaches, and how
do FPA members go about reporting non-compliant
companies to the committee.
Regardless of whether an offending company is an FPA member or not,
there is an online form to complete via the members9 area of the FPA
website, which gives the committee all the information required to
investigate. It9s an independent and confidential process, and the
committee approaches each case objectively, within the CMA Green
Code & following advice obtained from our Primary Authority partnership
Examples of breaches include:
Unsubstantiated claims of packaging being plastic-free,
biodegradable, green or eco, without defining how.
Made-up symbols or abuse of legitimate ones.
Misleading end of life claims.
ยท8Evidence9 that relates only to the material used and not the
complete, finished packaging product.
