FPA Connect July 24 Final - Flipbook - Page 27
Obviously, the FPA can take action if a member isn9t
compliant, but what about non-members? How will they be
held to account?
It9s vital that our members are not
disadvantaged in any way, so this is
one of the first things we addressed.
I can9t go into detail at the moment
3 we will be putting out a press
release once everything is in place 3
but we have now gained the FPA
board9s approval to progress with
forming a strategic relationship with
a Primary Trading Standards
Partnership.
This partnership will act as a 8critical friend9 to the FPA and its members
by providing advice at an industry level on the nuances of legislation. FPA
members will be able to seek advice via the partnership within a
protected environment and, importantly, Trading Standards will take
forward any legitimate claims made through the FPA against non-FPA
member companies. It9s an exciting development and will extend beyond
compliance, benefitting FPA members in a number of additional ways
too. Watch this space for further news as the partnership details are
finalised.
