BLONDIE
75g butter
200g light brown sugar
150g smooth peanut butter
2tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
125g chocolate buttons
100g plain flour
100g ground almonds
1tsp baking powder
½tsp salt

A fun treat that is an
adaption of the original
chocolate brownie - ground
almonds and smooth peanut
butter add protein to help
keep you fuller for longer
after enjoying this dessert/
snack and can help thicken
or soften your stoma ouput.
If you're trying to re-gain lost
weight, enjoy every 1-2 days
as a snack or after a meal;
for most people a treat like
this can be enjoyed 1-2 times
a week without you piling on
the pounds.
1. In a bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar together until they form a
creamy texture.
2. Add the eggs, vanilla, salt and peanut butter and then continue to mix
until smooth.
3. Stir in the plain flour, ground almonds and baking powder.
4. Break up the chocolate buttons and add 2/3 of these into the mixture.
5. Pour the smooth mixture into a baking tin and spread. Sprinkle the
remaining chocolate buttons over the top.
6. Cook in the oven at 160C for 35 to 40 minutes or until set and
golden brown.
7. Leave to cool in the tin over a rack before slicing and serving.
