Harbour organisations
CHICHESTER HARBOUR CONSERVANCY
Chichester Harbour Conservancy based at Itchenor manages the harbour and
the AONB. They also have an office in Emsworth.
CHICHESTER HARBOUR FEDERATION
Chichester Harbour Federation, which brings together the sailing clubs and marine
businesses around the harbour, represents our interests within the Chichester Harbour
Conservancy and regulates racing within Chichester Harbour.
FRIENDS OF CHICHESTER HARBOUR
Friends of Chichester Harbour is a registered charity that funds conservation,
amenity and education projects within the Harbour. The Friends organise weekly
working parties of volunteers which tackle issues such as beach clean-up, tree care,
tree planting and stream management. Members receive quarterly newsletters and
membership is open to anyone interested in looking after Chichester Harbour.
HARBOUR DUES
In order to support and preserve Chichester Harbour, mariners are required to pay
Harbour Dues and display a plaque. Visitor dues are included in most sailing club
and marina overnight charges. Call 01243 512301 or ask us for more information
and current charges. Every penny raised goes back into running Chichester Harbour.
KAYAKING AND SUPS
If you are looking for an alternative way to get out on the water, kayak and
SUP hire is available from Marina-Watersports, based in the marina. There are
paddleboards and a range of BIC kayaks for hire, for one, two or three people,
which can be launched from the beach adjacent to EYH. Full safety
equipment and briefing will be given.
