How to get here
HARBOUR ENTRANCE:
50°50.57’N 000°55.98’W
BY CAR
EYH is easily accessible from the A27 and the A3. Emsworth is on the A259
and is clearly signed from the M27/A27 between Havant and Chichester.
We are located off Thorney Road, off the A259 just east of Emsworth town
centre. The marina is approximately half a mile down Thorney Road on the
right, with a large wooden sign at the entrance. Our postcode is: PO10 8BP.
BY TRAIN
There is a mainline train station in Emsworth on the South Coast rail service
between Southampton and Brighton/ London Victoria. From the station it is
a 20 minute walk to the marina. Turn right out of the station and follow
North Street to the roundabout. Then turn left along the A259 past the top
of the mill pond and then right down Slipper Road and through the
footpath gate into the marina.
BY SEA
Remember access to EYH is limited by the tide - generally to two hours each
side of high water. If you are concerned please call us and we will help you
decide when it is safe to arrive. Once inside the bar into Chichester Harbour
continue north up the well-marked channel keeping to starboard where the
channel divides. On the final leg to the marina the channel shelves rapidly
and there is a visitor’s pontoon slung between piles. This accommodates
boats up to 2m in depth even on low tide. Proceed up the channel until
you reach an East Cardinal and in close proximity a port marker,
Fisherman’s FL(3)R.10s. Here the channel splits into three and you need to
take the central channel. Follow the moored boats up this channel until you
get to the starboard marker, Echo FL(3)G.10s. From here you can see EYH
clearly with the approach curving around to the right. There is a depth gauge
just outside the marina which gives the height over the sill. Once inside and
after passing the end of A Pontoon on your left, turn to port. Having passed
the spit of land on your right, turn to starboard. When you are past the Fuel
Quay on your left turn to port and you are at the Visitor’s Pontoon.
