Wildflowers
An effusion of wild flowers symbolises a
certain attractive innocence. When sitting
amongst wild flowers and surrounded
by them it is possible to believe in the
concept that they have captured the
spirits of those who lived in the past, that
they are symbolic of a form of ‘life after
death’. To an insect, a field of wild flowers
must be like paradise, a psychedelic trip
heady with smells, nectar and colour
transfixing an insect into a short life
of never-ending ‘work’. And whilst the
colours and shapes of flowers are an
obvious draw, it is also the very complex
pattern of spaces between the rich
mixture of plants that makes wild flowers
so wonderful to observe.
