Section 3: Su昀昀olk Mind - Physical and
Emotional Needs and Resources
Su昀昀olk Mind use an ‘organising idea’ to help you stay well.
We all have physical and emo琀椀onal needs and a set of skills
and resources that we’re born with to meet those needs. We
call this the Emo琀椀onal Needs and Resources approach. We
have 12 physical and emo琀椀onal needs, which are:
SLEEP
FOOD AND DRINK
Having a balanced diet
MOVEMENT
SECURITY
Feeling safe
Ge琀琀ing enough good
quality sleep
ATTENTION
Giving and receiving quality a琀琀en琀椀on
Ge琀琀ing enough exercise to keep
your body and mind healthy
