20. Active Workstreams: The ESC Core Environment Programme
East Suffolk Council's Strategic Plan core programme has 116 workstreams with the environment as a priority focus. There are also a number of
other workstreams related to the environment alongside other objectives. This programme is reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis.
92 workstreams are being led by ESC, with 24 workstreams focussed on supporting projects led by other organisations. 44 of these are 'business as
usual', representing ESC normal operations as a Local Authority, with the other 72 representing separate projects that have been initiated by East
Suffolk Council.
63 of these workstreams are specifically focussed on responding to the climate emergency through climate change mitigation. These are
summarised below. A longer summary of our environment programme workstreams related to climate change will be available online in May 2023
