PROJECT FINANCE
As well as delivering British healthcare excellence and standards, IHG
can also facilitate attractive funding for healthcare and infrastructure
projects. IHG can facilitate the provision to national governments
of 100% project finance supported by the UK Government’s Export
Finance Department (UKEF) and International Banks.
Typically, the project finance is provided at the lowest
rate possible, which is fixed for the duration of the financing.
Repayments commence six months after project completion and
are made over the following 10 to 14 years at six monthly intervals.
In 2019 IHG facilitated UKEF supported project financing
totaling $700 million for IHG’s Contracts with the Government
of Oman for the design, construction, equipping and building
commissioning of three new public hospitals totaling over 1,000 beds.

A FAMILY BUSINESS
IHG is part of the International Group (IG) of companies, a
fourth generation, private family business founded in the UK.
International Group’s Chairman, Roger King, is actively involved
in IHG with his son, Chester King, Group CEO. IG provides a
unique combination of project management skills and expertise as
owners and managers in the healthcare, real estate, esports, hotels
and member clubs.
IG’s oldest company, Beeson and Sons Limited, (a property
development company) was established in 1930. Since the 1960s,
the group has also owned and operated businesses in jewellery,
packaging, fashion, recruitment and advertising. Recent
investments have been made by IG in hydrogen production,
education and online safety.
After 33 years of management and ownership, the group sold
the multi award-winning Stoke Park Estate (www.stokepark.com)
to Reliance Industries in April 2021. Under IG’s ownership, it
fully restored this much-loved estate, and created one of the finest
hotels, spas and country clubs in the world, as well as protecting its
incredible history and heritage.
Chester King is also President of the British Esports Federation,
the UK’s national body for Esports. He is Vice President of the
Global Esports Federation, and Trade Advisor Group Member for
the Department of International Trade (DIT), UK Government.
