Practical Completion Certificate
A statement which expresses that the works have reached Practical Completion.
The contractor is relieved from various obligations henceforth.
Certificate of Making Good (in Stage 6)
A statement referring to defects which were made good during the Rectification
Period and those which were scheduled within 14 days of the end of the Period.
Final Certificate (in Stage 6)
This is conclusive evidence in respect of the balance due; in respect of the
reasonable satisfaction of the contract administrator for particular matters; and in
respect of extensions of time and reimbursement or direct loss and/or expense.
It is not conclusive evidence that the contractor has met the terms of the Building
Contract in respect of materials, goods and workmanship in general.
