Check original documents carefully for cover and renewal dates. Do not
accept assurances.
5.5.6.15 Check bonds and warranties required from the contractor.

These should be obtained before the Building Contract is signed – it may
be impossible to obtain them later.
5.5.6.16 Check that the CDM coordinator has expressed satisfaction with
the contractor’s construction phase Health and Safety Plan, and
that this is confirmed in writing.

5.5.6.17 Carefully inspect the contractor’s preliminary programme,
particularly if it indicates dates by which critical information is
required. Comment as appropriate, but do not approve it.

which is acceptable to the CDM coordinator.

Under no circumstances can work start on site without a Health and
Safety Plan in place which conforms with the principles of the CDM
