• coordinated Technical and Fabrication Design: drawings,
drawn schedules, priced bills of quantities/specifications/
schedules of work
• contractor’s rates or contract sum analysis if appropriate, and/
or priced bills of quantities/specifications/schedules of work
• specialists’ tenders and ‘numbered documents’ ready for
nomination instructions to be issued
• contractor’s master programme
• copies of the construction phase Health and Safety Plan
developed by the contractor and certified by the CDM
coordinator
• copies of method statements prepared by the contractor as
required in the Building Contract conditions
• Information Release Schedule, or
• schedule agreed with the contractor indicating what further
information is needed from the architect and by when, or
• verification by the contractor, if applicable, that all necessary
information has been supplied, and accepting that any further
drawings will be their own responsibility.

Brief
Any changes to the brief should be strenuously avoided at this stage as
there will be significant cost and time consequences. Any changes that
are made must be done following the Change Control Procedures.
5.5.3
Appointment
5.5.3.1
Establish the scope, content and context for Stage 5 activities.
Put this information into context, particularly if previous stages were
undertaken by others. If possible, establish whether material produced
now is likely to be acted upon by others taking over subsequent stages.
If the appointment includes Soft Landings activities under
Stage 6, the architect must:
