4.5.5.18 • Continue to cooperate with the CDM coordinator.
• When carrying out design work, avoid foreseeable risks to
those involved in the construction, future use, cleaning and
maintenance of the building and in so doing eliminate hazards,
as far as reasonably practicable, and reduce risk associated with
those hazards that remain.
• Provide adequate information about any uncommon and
significant risks associated with the design.
• Coordinate your work with others in order to improve the way
that risks are managed and controlled.
• Provide information that other team members are likely to
need to identify and manage the remaining risks.
• Cooperate with the client and other designers, including those
designing temporary works, to ensure that incompatibilities
between designs are identified and resolved.
• Discuss with the CDM coordinator any outstanding matters of
designers’ contributions to the pre-construction health and
safety information.
Remember that the pre-construction health and safety information, as
prepared by the CDM coordinator, will need to be issued in the tender
documents.
4.5.5.19 Confirm with design team members the arrangements for
inviting specialist tenders.

subcontractors and suppliers.

• monitor fee income against projected fee income.
