4.5.5.3 Check the scope of professional services agreed with other
consultants as they are appointed.
4.5.5.4 Agree input to the stage by design team members.
Remember that the procurement method chosen will greatly affect the
amount of detail design information necessary at this stage.
4.5.5.5 Confirm arrangements for communication between the client,
CDM coordinator, project manager and lead designer and
between design team members.
Cooperation can be encouraged by:
•setting up an integrated team involving designers, principal contractor
and other relevant contractors (once appointed)
•the appointment of a lead designer
•agreeing a common approach to risk reduction during design
•regular meetings of the whole design team, including the CDM
coordinator, with the contractor and others (once appointed)
•regular reviews of the evolving design
•site visits, through which designers can gain a direct insight into how
the risks are to be managed in practice.
4.5.5.6 Establish the information flow schedule and delivery
programme.
4.5.5.7 Have an agreed policy for coordinating information on drawings
and between documents.
Coordinated Project Information should be introduced at the earliest
possible stage in information preparation.
There must be an organised flow of information between the architect
and other consultants, particularly with the cost consultant.
