RIBA Job Book
All terms used in the RIBA Plan of Work 2013 are capitalised in this book.
F or a detailed explanation of how to use the Plan of Work 2013, refer to
the RIBA publication Guide to Using the RIBA Plan of Work 2013 (2013).
Useful notes provide background information and ‘watch points’. The action
checklists are supported by supplementary material to offer further guidance
or to give examples of template forms.
Prior to commencing a stage all the actions should be reviewed as different
projects will have different priorities.
The RIBA Job Book is not intended to constitute a quality management system in
itself, but some parts of it, for example the action checklists and standard forms,
may be relevant to an office quality system. It should always be remembered,
however, that the RIBA Job Book checklists are not comprehensive, and though
they may form a useful starting point they must be adapted to the specific needs
of a particular practice.
The RIBA Job Book is coordinated with and cross-referenced to other RIBA
documents and Good Practice Guides, which together form a suite of RIBA
approved practice and guidance references.
