Information required
2.5.1.1
Check that all information necessary during Stage 2 is available,
which might include the following:
• brief developed to Initial Project Brief stage, including cost and
time targets and any proposals accepted by the client, noting
any agreed amendments
• further information as requested, supplied by the client
• notes, sketches and details made on further visits to site and/or
existing buildings
• published material, technical press articles as appropriate
• technical information (e.g. planning or design guides, British
Standards, codes of practice), manufacturers’ trade literature
• results of surveys and tests conducted during Stage 1
• relevant legislation, circulars or guides to assist in statutory
compliance
• contributions, information and recommendations from
consultants and specialists
• consider any feedback received from the client and other
stakeholders on the Stage 1 design
• BIM protocols.
If procurement is through design and build:
•for an employer client: information as above for development into the
Employer’s Requirements
•for a contractor client: the Employer’s Requirements as issued to
tenderers.
