Your Commitment
Section 7 of “The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974” states that it shall be the Duty of every employee:
to take reasonable care for the health and safety of himself and other persons who may be affected
by his acts or omissions at work …..we all have a legal Duty of Care to each other;
to co-operate with the employer …..to enable compliance with legal requirements;
one way to protect your health is to look after your safety at work. That’s why we have Health &
Safety Regulations in the UK. However, Regulations do not protect people – its people that protect
people. YOU protect your colleagues & yourself & THEY protect you, it’s your Duty of Care.

For over 30 years D Morgan has used a formal training programme, periodically assessing each employee’s
role in the business, their Competence and personal development requirements. We aim to deliver the
correct level of personal support to the individual whether it is on the job training, mentoring or use of
professional courses including our successful graduate training programme. YOU NEVER STOP LEARNING
Our investment in skills training & commitment to Career Development is reflected in people achieving
between 25 & 45 years Long Service Awards. During 2015/16 we achieved our highest ever intake of
apprentices with 81 trainees, as we look to pass on knowledge & experience from the existing D Morgan
TEAM, to achieve continuity and enjoy future growth in our business – The D Morgan Way –
