Let us know what we’re doing well & what we can improve
Accepting Challenges – We respond positively if colleagues point out a safety risk or lapse.
You need someone to share your problems and thoughts with. At the very least, to
brainstorm. Helping each other with our regular “face to face” briefings and safety talks
allows you to raise site specific concerns….. to improve our risk control measures.
Use of Mobile phones and Safe Systems of Work (SSoW)
The D Morgan phone policy must be adhered to. Whilst talking together using
mobile phone communication can be convenient, it can also be a Hazard.
You MUST NOT use any hand-held mobile phone or radio whilst driving or
operating machinery whether on the highway (It’s illegal) or on site (It’s unsafe).
You MUST NOT answer any call, unless it’s safe to do so and MUST NOT use a
phone for personal reasons outside of work breaks, unless in an Emergency.
…
IT’S ABOUT CONTROLLING RISK – DELIVERING PERFORMANCE SAFELY
