MUGA—Mul} Use Game Area
CYCD has managed secure Government Youth
Investment Fund to improve its youth facili}es.
Installing a MUGA is a new addi}on to the
current facili}es o昀昀ering a safe play and game
area for our children and young people. The
work was completed before Christmas. The
space was developed in consulta}on with
young people. The children and young people
in their feedback expressed their preference for
a suitable safe space. Prior to having a MUGA
we used to close o昀昀 the CYCD car park to create
an outdoor play area and game space as part
of the youth ac}vi}es. The MUGA although
may not be ideal for all ages due to size
restric}on, will go a long way in mee}ng the
needs and demands of the young people who
uses CYCD. We are already seeing an increase
in the number of children and young people
making use of the MUGA.
