WORKING
ENVIRONMENT
What You Can Expect
Outdoor work: You often work outdoors, at great
heights in remote locations.
Travel: Depending on where you live and the job you get
you may be required to work away from your home. You
may also have to travel from site to site quite frequently.
Training: Strict adherence to safety protocols and
guidelines is crucial due to the risks associated with
working at heights and with heavy machinery. You will
consistently have to undergo training to ensure you are
following up to date protocol. This is to protect you and
your peers.
Varied Hours: Work hours may vary, and you might be
required to work evenings, weekends, or be on call for
emergencies.
Seasonal Considerations: Work is sometimes season
dependent, with increased workload during certain times
of the year and quieter periods throughout the winter
months.
Physical Fitness: You will be on your feet a lot and will
have to climb towers as well as lift heavy machinery.
