Katie’s practice encompasses all aspects of family

structures both in the UK and abroad. Katie offers
expert guidance to clients where the majority of the
wealth is tied up in a family business. This raises
issues on divorce not only about the value of the
company but also the ways in which funds can be
extracted from it to meet any potential entitlement of
the other spouse.
She regularly advises clients on potential strategies
to minimise the risk of family business assets being
attacked on divorce, particularly where a business is
owned by family members of various generations.
She works seamlessly with our Private Client, Tax and
Corporate teams to ensure that clients have access to
the full range of advice required to deal with the impact
of divorce on a family company. She has a varied client
base with backgrounds in private equity, sport, retail
and technology.
