Conference Hotel
The Hyatt Regency Hotel has brought
its global Environmental, Social
and Governance (ESG) strategy to
life through World of Care. Deeply
embedded across all areas of the
business, World of Care is their
global approach to advancing care for
the planet, people and responsible
business.
Their aims are:
Climate Change and Water
Conservation: Accelerate climate
and water action by elevating
efficiency measures, prioritizing water
conservation in drought-prone areas,
and increasing the use of renewable
energy and grey water. Achieve our
2030 science based target, including
reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2
emissions by 27.5% from a 2019
baseline.
Waste and Circularity: Reduce waste
generated at properties –including
food waste and single-use items –and
increase recycling and composting.
In particular, achieve a 50% global
reduction in food waste sent to landfill
or incineration per square meter by
2030 compared to 2019.

respecting local natural resources and
cultural heritage; helping to protect

pollution; and advancing climate
resilience.

Transport
The most sustainable way to travel to
Birmingham city centre is by utilizing
the public transport system.
Birmingham is one of the main
travel hubs of the United Kingdom’s
extensive rail network and has links to
all other major cities in the country.
The largest railway station is the
centrally located Birmingham New
Street Station, which is a short walk
from the ICC.
Birmingham has an extensive network
of trains, buses and trams which
provide convenient and eco-friendly
options for getting around the city.
By using public transport, you can
greatly reduce your carbon footprint
and contribute to minimizing traffic
congestion and air pollution in the city.
