Annual Wellbeing Report 2023 final - Flipbook - Page 10
Health outcomes
During 2022-2023 we have completed a full health survey of all the people we support. This has shown
that people with complex needs have a range of additional health concerns, significantly above the
general population, and notably above autistic people and people with learning disabilities with lower
levels of need.
This is a concern because this group also have specific challenges with accessing healthcare and living
healthy lifestyles. The NHS has been under intense pressure over the past year, and this has had a knockon effect with changes in the way GP appointments are conducted, ease of booking appointments, long
wait times in acute health settings and increased cancellations or delays.

Throughout 2022-2023 we have had a special focus on healthy lifestyles – diet, exercise and sleep, to
try and naturally aid increased physical wellbeing. This included sharing recipes, cooking classes, hints
and tips, exercise-based activities and opportunities, wellbeing coaching, and staff training. Through this
approach and careful monitoring, we can share that:
1 person has met with
