Who may climb the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?
Only those whose hands and hearts
are pure,
who do not worship idols
and never tell lies.
They will receive the Lord’s blessing
and have a right relationship with God
their savior.
Such people may seek you
and worship in your presence,
O God of Jacob.*
Interlude

STIRRING UP TROUBLE || S
ome people try to build themselves up by putting
everyone else down. They criticize other believers who don’t behave or talk just exactly
like they do. Just like the Jewish leaders in Jesus’ day, rather than help the people they
were called to minister to, they judged those who were not like them. Which is more
important: what you or someone else eats or loving others enough to feed someone
who is hungry? If we are obsessed with criticizing others, today is a good day to stop.
