For a time in my life, after some painful diagnoses came to our family and the death of one of our
children, I felt too sad to read the Bible by myself. When I’d open the pages, I just wanted a friend
to take me by the hand and say, “Here, read this. I’ve felt pain like yours too. And God’s Word has
something that you need today, Naomi. Here it is.” Below are women who can point you to God’s
story and how it connects with your story. While several of the scholars listed above also share their
stories with you, here are the additional writers, listed by first-name alphabetical order. If you’d like

ADELAIDE MANYARA MUCHETU shares true life
experiences with many women and believes in
relational evangelism. Discipleship is her mantra
with exhortation being her greatest strength.
ALEXANDRA KUYKENDALL is a cofounder of

Finding the True and Beautiful All around You.
ALICE PATTERSON, JD, is an associate court
attorney in New York who has a fondness for
teaching the Old Testament. She encourages
everyone to put down the world’s lies and
put on God’s truth.
AMANDA AZADIAN is a Christ follower on a
mission to bridge traditional medicine and
modern innovation. She is a doctoral student
of acupuncture, a senior product manager in
digital health strategy, and a lover of adventure.
AMY SIMPSON, MBA, is the Bible publisher
at Tyndale House Publishers, and she can’t
think of a better job than making God’s Word
available and accessible around the world.
