The futureEmbracing ourdigital futureOver the past three years, we’ve investedheavily in developing systems to supportour work.Our highly customised Salesforce platform handles allof the logistics around tutoring, whether it’s matchingtutors to assignments, tracking attendance, sharingtutor feedback with schools or handling pay and invoices.And, for training, our tutors can access our Thinqiplatform, which contains learning journeys and a wealthof resources that support high-quality delivery. We’veeven launched our own podcast, Tutorcast, featuringconversations with a range of education experts.We’re now excited to announce that we’ve securedfunding for the next phase of our digital developmentand, working in partnership with our digital agency,Fat Beehive, have a number of exciting projects in thepipeline over the next two years.Spotlight: Arti昀椀cial IntelligenceThe launch of generative Arti昀椀cial Intelligence tools such asChatGPT has created considerable debate within education.While these tools can, and have, been used by students for lessthan-honest purposes, they also o昀昀er great scope to enhanceteaching and learning. They won’t be going away, and we’re keento explore how generative AI could enhance our tutoring o昀昀er.In Autumn 2023, we were part of an exciting project launchedby Bain & Company and the Hg Foundation to explore howgenerative AI could support teachers and tutors with e昀昀ectivelesson planning and personalisation. Tutors at ManchesterAcademy, a longstanding partner school, explored di昀昀erentuses of ChatGPT for designing lesson plans, generating bespokeresources, and modifying plans for pupils with SEND, and fedback on their experiences. The ‘Teaching with Chat GPT’ guidewas published in November 2023.We’ll be continuing this work in the next academic year bysupporting and encouraging all tutors to use AI in sessionswhere appropriate. As always, high quality is our focus asis ensuring that safeguarding is maintained at all times.The 昀椀rst will be the launch of our new website, wherewe’ll be welcoming you to a much more interactive,user-centric site that showcases both our warmth andour professionalism. The website is just the 昀椀rst stepof a much more ambitious digital transformation thatwill see us integrate our various backend systems, andprovide our tutors, school partners – and perhaps evenour tutees and their parents – with online resources thatmatch the quality of our tutoring.The Tutor Trust Impact Report 2022/23 37
