In 1922, Waddingtons went into game production due to a high demand
for playing cards during WW1.
Waddingtons published MONOPOLY, and went on to create games such as
Cluedo, Risk, Lexicon, and many more.
Top Trumps was launched by Dubreq in the 1970s, the makers of the Stylophone.
In 1982, Top Trumps was acquired by Waddingtons and added to their range of games.
In 1994, Waddingtons was bought by Hasbro.

In 1999, Top Trumps and the Waddingtons Number 1
brand were acquired by Winning Moves UK Ltd.
