PASSION OF JESUS IN TRAFALGAR
SQUARE
Wintershall, a renowned Christian
theatre company, is set to bring the
powerful and moving story of the
Passion of Jesus to life in Trafalgar
Square on 18 April. The annual open-air
performance, which has captivated
thousands of people since 2010, will
take place on the iconic square in the
heart of London, offering a profound and
immersive experience for audiences
from all walks of life.
The dramatic retelling of the final
hours of Jesus’ life, from His arrest and
trial to His crucifixion and resurrection,
will feature a large, talented cast of
actors, live animals, and stunning period
costumes, all set against the backdrop of
one of the world’s most famous
landmarks. The performance will be free
to the public, making it accessible to a
diverse audience, from local residents to
international visitors.
Wintershall’s ‘Passion of Jesus’ has
become a significant part of London’s
cultural and spiritual life. Each year, the
performance draws large crowds, from
families and tourists to long-time
supporters, who come together to
witness a dramatic re-telling of Christ’s
journey to the cross.
Wintershall producer, Charlotte de
Klee said: ‘We are happy to be bringing
the story of Jesus back to the city this
year. This play belongs to London and
speaks not only to those of the Christian
faith, but to all faiths and traditions and
those who have none. Over the years the
vast audiences the play has attracted
stands as testimony to that. As it takes
place in the world-famous space at the
heart of the capital it demonstrates the
tolerance and diversity found in London.’
Performances will be at noon and at
15.15, free to attend.
THE FLOWER BALLET BY SOPHIE
ADAMS BALLET COMPANY
An enchanting afternoon of classical
music including Vivaldi’s The Four
Seasons and other renowned composers
performed by The Flower Ballet’s string
quartet will take place at Cadogan Hall
on 27 April at 14.30 and 17.30. Six
ballet dancers from Sophie Adams Ballet
Company will enthral audiences with
nine classical ballet excerpts from
The Flower Ballet throughout this
classical concert.
The Flower Ballet is a romantic tale
of love between a Rose and her Thorn,
created, directed and choreographed by
Sophie Adams. Be entranced by the
delights of Flower ballerinas dancing
under glistening cherry blossom trees,
waltzing amongst the Fireflies and Stars.
A delightful display of classical ballet
choreography, talented musicians,
ballerinas, exquisite flower tutus and
sparkling tiaras makes this a truly
magical afternoon.
The audience will also enjoy an
immersive photo opportunity, with the
chance to meet a Rose ballerina before
and after the performance, which is
family-friendly. Babes in arms (children
up to 2 years of age) are permitted to
share a seat with each full paying adult.
