What is
phenomics?
Phenomics is the systematic study of traits that make up a phenotype. A phenotype is the set of observable characteristics of an individual resulting from the interaction of its genotype with the environment. “It is pretty much what you can see by eye,” Associate Professor
Bettina Berger says. “The phenotype of a human could be their height,
their eye colour or their weight, or any physical expression of the genetics of that organism, plus the interaction with the environment.”
