Inaddition to The Curiosity Show, he appearedon the New Inventors, Nexus, ScienceMagazine, and Radio National’s Ockham’sRazor. For ten years he was the scienceand environment specialist for ChannelTen News and he has written thirty fourbooks on science and natural history aswell as co-authoring thirteen more.He is recognised nationally andinternationally as an outstanding sciencecommunicator and has been described asa national treasure and a well-lovedambassador for science. He is a freelancescience communicator and broadcaster,and Professorial Fellow at Flinders Universitywhere he has lectured for 25 years.Rob recently returned to the Universityof Adelaide for his Golden Jubileereunion, celebrating 50 years since hegraduated with a Bachelor of Sciencein 1965 (he also graduated with Honoursin 1966 and a PhD in 1971).He and 116 of his fellow Class of’65 graduates re-enacted theirgraduation ceremony in full academicdress at the October event.28 Lumen | Summer 2016
