This image of University of
Adelaide students swarming the
streets to party for Prosh Week
was captured around the time of
the first World War.
It was obviously quite an event –
and shows we have long known
how to celebrate big moments.
In our special 150th anniversary
issue of Lumen, coming early
2024, the celebration of our past,
our present, and our future will
continue.
There has been a lot of history
made – and there’s more to
come.
This photo was taken overlooking the much-loved Beehive
Corner, on the corner of Rundle Street (long before it
became a mall) and King William Street. It is part of our
collection curated by the Barr Smith Library.
