Lumen Autumn 2024 - Flipbook - Page 4
Welcome
AUTUMN
2024
First person pieces written by a staff
member, a student, and illustrious and
prominent alumni, further touch upon the
essence of the transformative power of this
place. We thank them too for their
continuing support.
Well-known University figure,
Distinguished Alumni Award winner
Keith Conlon, also returns to his one-time
workplace to lend a hand in telling our story.
Keith – known as “Mr South Australia”
thanks to his eminent 40-year media career
– started here at our University radio station
5UV and was a part of our University’s
Centenary 50 years ago as an enthusiastic
new law graduate and staff member.
He kindly returns to guest edit part of our
history section in this issue, and to write
about how our University, and our State
have grown, together.
