OUR FOUNDING
Classical liberalism has a long legacy at Wabash College. All seminar
lectures will be held in the Goodrich Reading Room wherein the intellectual
legacy of human freedom is literally etched in stone.
The establishment of The Stephenson Institute owes its existence to the
generous support of Richard J Stephenson '62 and his wife, Dr. Stacie J.
Stephenson, alongside their esteemed family, Wabash alumni Dr.
Christopher '87 and Shawn '98, as well as their respective spouses, Jamie
and Morgan Stephenson.
Thanks to the Stephensons’ generosity, The Institute coordinates academic
programming that showcases, engages and expands the theories and
research of the classical liberal tradition. Our program formats are
constantly evolving and we are open to new suggestions and opportunities
for partnerships and collaborations.
