RESIN BOUND AFTERCARE
POST-INSTALLATION AND GENERAL MAINTAINANCE TIPS
LEAVE TIME TO CURE
AVOIDING FOOTPRINTS
It is essential your driveway has time to
cure. We recommend leaving 6 hours
before walking on your driveway and at
least 24 hours before driving on it. These
times may vary based on temperature,
listen carefully to what your installer
says and follow accordingly to avoid any
problems.
Installers usually place red and white tape
around your driveway after it has been
installed. This tape is not there for you or
anyone else to go under in order to get to
your front door. It is essential that no human
nor animal walk on the resin bound surface.
NO SPILLAGES
TYRE MARKS AND RESIN
We ask you to please be careful and check
that no leaks, drips or spillages have fallen
onto the resin surface while it’s curing. This
will signi昀椀cantly discolour and possibly
even weaken the resin bound material. It
is essential to avoid consistent drips/leaks
as this will erode the surface causing it to
degrade.
In order to limit the chance of any tyre
marks on your resin driveway, avoid turning
your steering wheel whilst stationary. If
there are any tyre marks on the surface,
you can wipe them down with white spirit
and wash them with an emulsi昀椀er and a
pressure washer.
HEAVY OBJECTS
STAINS & CHEMICALS
Resin bound surfaces are built to withstand
light vehicle traf昀椀c and pedestrian use.
Heavy goods vehicles shouldn’t park or
manoeuvre on resin drives. Rubber mats
should be used for placing skips and other
heavy objects on the driveway to prevent
stone chipping and surface cracking.
Similar to leaks, chemicals such as petrol
can cause serious damage to your resin
bound surface. That being said, try to avoid
any contact between the two. If this is
unavoidable or an accident occurs, clean
the surface immediately or your resin bound
driveway will be at risk of degrading.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
WEEDS OR MOSS
Pressure washing once/twice a year will
help to avoid a build-up of marks and dirt
that could lead to stains. For improved
precision use a 昀氀at spraying nozzle or a fantype lance. Before turning on your jet wash
make sure you have swept your driveway
昀椀rst. Use a pressure washer with cold water
ensuring it has no more than a 150-bar
rating.
If installed correctly resin bound surfaces
should be weed resistant. However, in any
case where weeds do appear then simply
pull them out by hand or a mild weed killer
can be used. Any commercial grade weed
killer will cause discolouration to the surface.
