In Memory of Cheri Fox
The Global FoodBanking Network remembers founding GFN Board Member
Cheryl Ann “Cheri” Fox, who passed away on August 11, 2024. Cheri served on
The Global FoodBanking Network’s Board of Directors from its founding until
2016, providing strategic guidance and oversight during the organization’s pivotal
first decade. After her departure from the Board, Cheri remained an advisor
and supporter of GFN, consulting periodically with the Board of Directors and
regularly with its CEO. Her vision for the role food banking can play in advancing
food security was pivotal to GFN’s impact to date, and her advice—including her
relentless commitment to effectiveness and learning—will not soon be forgotten.
