According to research conducted by
Premier League Primary Stars in the
summer of 2023, 90% of teachers
surveyed observed improvements in
student teamwork, and 89% reported
enhanced communication skills among
their students. Additionally, 81% of
teachers using Premier League Primary
Stars resources noted that these tools
helped improve their ability to teach PE
and sports.
Looking Ahead to the New
School Year
As the new school year begins, Premier
League Primary Stars remains
committed to supporting teaching and
learning through its range of free,
flexible, and adaptable resources.
The new academic year will see the
introduction of new curriculum-linked
resources alongside virtual events for
pupils, as well as providing professional
development opportunities for teachers
and practitioners on a range of topics.
New resources for the year will include
Anti-Bullying Week content, developed in
partnership with the Anti-Bullying Week
Alliance, Challenging Gender Stereotypes
and new resources for running social
action projects to help pupils give back to
their communities.

Premier League Primary Stars helps
children to learn through the power of
football in more than 19,000 primary
schools across England and Wales.
There have been over 18m attendances
by primary school pupils at club-led
sessions since 2017, with 104 professional
football club community organisations
across the pyramid delivering sessions.
A total of 1.1m children engage through
digital resources per year. More than
70,000 teachers have registered for free
downloadable lesson plans, with 91% of
teachers saying Primary Stars has
increased pupils’ enjoyment of sport.

Charitable Fund
The Premier League Charitable Fund
was established in 2010 to distribute
funding provided by the Premier League
and its partners to professional football
club charities across England and Wales,
supporting them in their delivery in
thousands of community venues and
schools across the country. A total of 106
club charities are supported across the
Premier League, English Football League
and National League.
Support for community provision through
the Premier League Charitable Fund more
than tripled in 10 years, with the Premier
League now investing over £35m per year
into community activity and programmes.
More than £290m has been invested
to-date, with approximately 2.2m
participants taking part in programmes
funded by the Premier League via the
Premier League Charitable Fund over the
last 14 years.
