Deep red in colour, with a broad nose, fresh and decisive aroma of red fruits like currant and cherry, spicy tones
reminiscent of cocoa and tobacco and sweet notes of vanilla. Mouthfeel is velvety and enveloping, with silky
tannins and an aftertaste of marasca cherry. Long and persistent finish.

Deep ruby red colour wine with purplish highlights. Intense on the nose, with delicate fruity hints of blackberry
and plum and spicy notes of cinnamon and clove. It has a very attractive texture on the palate,
with soft and velvety tannins, persistent and well balanced.

Doppio Passo gets its name from the 'ripasso' style of winemaking - a technique that involves a short second
fermentation on the pulp and skins left over from the first fermentation to give extra body and texture. The
winery also uses a proportion of later harvested, super-ripe grapes in the blend to give this wine a silky smooth
texture with plump, jammy fruitiness (vg).
