The narratives of travel, migration, and adventure explored by Inson resonate
with Navin9s ongoing interest in his personal experiences as a Thai of Indian
descent, feelings of being an outsider, migration, building a new home, and
creating a new life and community. Navin reinterpreted Inson9s biography, using
posters and cutouts to tell his story as if they were biographical advertisements.
He even created a sculpture of a man in a leather jacket riding a white scooter,
symbolizing the semi-legendary tales of past generations who overcame
obstacles to inspire future ones. Parallel to this, Navin organized art activities
in public spaces, academic seminars, and initiatives to find ways for art and
community to coexist. He collaborated with artists and individuals from various
professions to conduct numerous sub-projects, addressing community issues
over a year in 2000. This body of work was exhibited both internationally and
in Bangkok, and the project extended to Lamphun during 2004-2005. Later,
it was showcased at the Dharma Park of the National Artist Inson Wongsam
in Lamphun.
