Pratuang Emjaroen is an independent artist who had not
received formal training from any art institution. Despite
this, he persevered in art and gained recognition for his
work, becoming popular among collectors. His formal
recognition culminated in being honoured as a National
Artist in Visual Arts in 2005.
Pratuang9s art explores themes of life and nature, delving
into microcosmic worlds such as water droplets, lotus leaves,
and rice grains, expanding outward to encompass fields,
oceans, skies, the sun, the moon, and the universe. The painting
