From the moment you graced us with your bright and observant eyes,
we knew you were going to be a “Big Dyl.”
We are so incredibly proud of the young man you have become.
As we re昀氀ect on all your accomplishments and the obstacles that you have
persevered through, we are con昀椀dent that you will continue to rise up
and impact the world. We are grateful that you have remained faithful,
compassionate and honorable – qualities that will surely take you far.
We love you dearly and are excited for the boundless opportunities that
await as you SOAR into the next chapter of your life’s journey.

Dylan Nicholas Ballard is a scholar-athlete
in the Global Citizen Pathway program
at Orange Lutheran High School and has
excelled in rigorous AP/honors courses,
Football and Track & Field. A recognized
leader on campus, he’s a founder/copresident of the Black Student Union. He’s
actively involved in Jack and Jill of America,
Inc. and is the Long Beach Chapter teen
president. Among his numerous meritleadership award: Lancer High Honor Roll,
1st place MIT App Inventor Hackathon 2020,
and BOSS Scholar award are noteworthy
highlights. Recently, he was selected to
participate on a student panel about banned
books and its global impact. His volunteer
projects include MLK Day of Service,
Ronald McDonald House, Petal Pushers,
and Macedonia House of Hope. He enjoys
video games, building mega Lego creations
and listening to music. Dylan is a 2024
POSSE Scholar and will attend Hobart &
William Smith Colleges (Geneva, NY) on a
full-tuition scholarship.
