It's hard to believe that April is
already here, and we are working on
the Spring issue of this newsletter.
April not only means it's the spring
season, but it also means it's time
for National Medical Laboratory
Professional Week. It's the time of
year when we get to recognize and
celebrate the clinical laboratory
community for all you do. We get
to shine a light on the crucial role
clinical laboratory scientists have in
a patient's healthcare journey.
We want to express our gratitude for your partnership during
both the good times and the not-so-good times. Recently, we
experienced some warehouse dif昀椀culties when a major software
upgrade of our systems resulted in some serious delivery issues
that, unfortunately, we could not shield you from. We worked very
hard to 昀椀x these uncharacteristic disruptions and return to normal
service. We understand the frustrating position you were put in
and appreciate the understanding you showed us during this time.
As we have returned services back to normal, we continue to be
fully committed to providing you with the excellent service you
have come to expect from Sysmex.
We also appreciate your partnership during the good times, and
one of those good times is now. As of April 1, Sysmex will begin
selling and servicing hemostasis solutions. As part of a global
agreement between Sysmex and Siemens Healthineers, both
companies will sell hemostasis products and reagents under their
respective brands. The new sales structure will roll out in the US
and will extend to other countries and regions in the near future.

Automated digital cell imaging
products from Sysmex and
CellaVision are innovatively
designed to standardize the WBC
differential process for laboratories
of all sizes. Our solutions provide
pre-classi昀椀cation of WBC, RBC and
platelet morphology by employing
Arti昀椀cial Neural Network technology.
A software upgrade for CellaVision
users is now available that includes
Feathered Edge viewing. With the
Feathered Edge view, users can
assess slides for acceptable cell
distribution, the presence of platelet
clumps or WBC clustering at the
smear edge. The Feathered Edge tab
displays images at 10x, or users can
zoom in for a closer look.
