Changing lives,
pioneering care
We are the Charity dedicated to supporting life-changing care at
King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (King’s).
Every day, our dedicated NHS staff work wonders to
save and enhance lives and create new possibilities
for future care and treatment. This outstanding team
counts on the Charity’s support to go beyond what the
NHS can provide for patients.
We raise funds for innovative research and cuttingedge equipment to develop better treatments and
care for more people, and we work in partnership to
develop facilities and services that improve people’s
experience of King’s hospitals.
King’s patients are at the heart of everything we do.
Alongside our investment in King’s College Hospital’s
new Critical Care Centre we are also are proud to have
funded music therapy for critical care patients, which
has shown to improve anxiety, depression and PTSD.
Adrian Pilbeam, a retired musician, was admitted
to critical care with a perforated bowel in
December 2022 and spent over 50 days
in the critical care centre. Adrian
explains, “There’s absolutely no
doubt that King’s saved my life,
and now these music therapy
sessions are helping me to
rebuild it. I didn’t know
if I’d be able to play an
instrument again and
here I am playing the
piano.”
Whether we bring people together to transform
the hospital environment, foster support systems
that make a hard job manageable for staff, fund
groundbreaking research, or enhance services to help
patients feel more at ease, our focus is on funding
improvements that deliver lasting change.
Without the continued support and generosity of our
amazing donors, none of this would be possible.
Thank you.

Music has been
part of my life
since I was 昀椀ve
years old and
I don’t think I
could face the
road to recovery
without it.”
