This 90 hour Phlebotomy Technician Program prepares professionals to collect blood specimens from
clients for the purpose of laboratory analysis. Students will become familiar with all aspects related to blood
collection and develop comprehensive skills to perform venipunctures completely and safely. Classroom and
lab work includes terminology, anatomy and physiology; blood collection procedures; specimen hands-on
practice; and training in skills and techniques to perform puncture methods.
Certi昀椀cation Opportunities
Students who complete this program will have the opportunity to pursue the National Healthcareer
Association (NHA) Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Exam and the National Workforce Career Association
(NWCA) Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Exam.
Optional Volunteer Externship Opportunity
This program includes a 40 hour clinical externship opportunity. To be eligible for the clinical, students must
successfully complete the 90 hour program, submit to a thorough background check, drug screening and
meet other requirements
MyCAA funding may apply for quali昀椀ed individuals. Note this scholarship will NOT pay for the textbooks.
Textbook expenses will be the 昀椀nancial responsibility of the student. For this course, textbook cost is $150.
(Traditional Army tuition assistance and GI Bill® funding does not apply).
Traditional college 昀椀nancial aid is not applicable for non-credit courses at this time.
