The rise in emissions compared to 2021 can be
attributed to the larger volume of purchased and distributed goods and the more detailed and accurate
calculation of all Scope 3 subcategories.
Scope 1
STEFFCA is dedicated to continuing the reduction of
its value chain emissions, through pursuing strategic
collaborations with sustainable partners, enhancing
the sustainable nature and energy ef昀椀ciency of its
products, and promoting waste reduction and circular economy throughout its production and product
life cycle.
Even though STEFFCA is experiencing a signi昀椀cant
company expansion through the years, it has managed to reduce its total Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions
by 21% in 2023 compared to 2022.
The drastic decrease is mainly the result of the
reduction of value chain emissions. On the other
hand, the rise of emissions compared to 2021 can
be attributed not only to the expansion but also to
the more detailed and accurate calculation of all
emission categories.
Guided by this progress, STEFFCA continues to
strive for more eco-friendly practices, partnerships,
and strategies, with the goal of further decreasing
its footprint in the future.

Scope 3 emissions in 2023 have decreased by 22%
compared to 2022 (from 1,535 tonnes to 1,199
tonnes). Even with the notable company expansion,
STEFFCA has managed to reduce its footprint
throughout its value chain. Even though the emissions of some categories have increased compared
to 2022, such as purchased goods & services (by
7%) or downstream transportation & distribution
(by around 3 times), some notable examples of
progress are the drastic decrease in the upstream
transportation and distribution emissions, which
pinpoints the need for collaboration for accurate
reporting and creating a sustainable network. Other
categories however, showed some marginal increases like the waste-in-operations, where due to the
increased production, an increase of approximately
15%.
